Deepavali

Diwali(Deepawali) is most  favorite Festival of Hindu peoples and also all India.
This is 5 days long festival.

Deepawali means the line of  light of Panati(it is like candle but Panati is lighted by oil or butter). Festival starts on Ashvin Vadya Dvadashi as Hindu calender the day also known as Vasubaras(Vasu=Caw). On this day people salute and do puja of caw and Calf. People make Rangoli in front of home and give Naivedya(Food) to Caw. On this day people hang a Aakashkandil on the door. On the second day that is Ashvin Vadya Trayodahi which is also known as Dhanatrayodashi. People make a Panati of dough and put oil & haldi in it and fire light toward south side in yard. Which is Yamdipadaan. The traders and businessman people celebrate Dhanatrayodashi very happily and on this day they salute and do puja of money.

O third day i.e. Ashvin Vadya Chathurdashi people wake up early morning and get Abhyangsnan (Bath with Fragrant oil ) before sunrise. then dress new cloths and made light light of Panati in whole House and yard.

On Ashvin Vadya Amavasya people do Lakshmi-puja and get blessing of Goddess Lakshmi. It main Day of Diwali.

On Kartik Shuddha Pratipada which is also known as Baalpratipada. This day is new year of businessman people. This day is one of Three and half Shubhamuhurthas.

On Kartik Shuddha Dvitiya which is also known as Yamadvitiya.This day sister salute her brother for his long life and development which is known as Bhaubeej.
