Story of Birth of Lord Dattatreya

               It’s a story of Krutayuga. In India many Saints and Rhishis was living here. A Rhishi named Atri was a great ascetic. His wife was Anusuya, she was very faithful and virtue wife.

                Devarshi Narada go to swarga(Heaven) and tell to goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati that how is Anusuya is a great wife, how she is pure and devoted to her husband. Then goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati feels jealousy about Anusuya and decide to take exam of her. They told their husband Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Mahadev to go for Anusuya and make her unvirtuous

                Then, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahadev become guests (Atithi) and go to the Aashram of Atri Rhishi and demand food for them. Anusuya request them to wait for some time but, the guests told her that they will wait but only when she agree to serve food becoming nude. Anusuya in Aashram and take tirtha (water) from kamandalu of Atri Rhishi and spatter it on the guests pronouncing some Mantras. And those three guests become three little babies. Anusuya gives them breastfeed.

                Here Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati become worried about their husbands and they go to Anusuya and request her to get back their husbands. Anusuya again spatter tirtha pronouncing some Mantras on those babies and they become to their real incarnation (Avatar) Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh (Mahadev) and said Anusuya that they are happy about her virtue and ask for her demand (War).  Anusuya demand gods to take birth as her child, god agreed her demand and take birth as her child named as-

Som (Chandra/moon)          : - Lord Brahma.

Dattatreya                            : - Lord Vishnu.

Durvas                                  : - Lord Mahadev.

That day was Margshirsh Shuddha Pounima.

Why We Break Narial (Coconut) tp god?

In ancient time human or animals being  used to kill to donation to God.
but, in Indian culture doesn't follow this.
Then Dharma Shastri(Rhishi)  got idea to donate coconut which  is known as Nar (Male Human) and it also have hair, eyes, etc. and for the color of blood they suggested to use Sindur/ Kumkum

How To Tilak In Various Situation?

1) In the Shraddha Vidhi(Ritual) tilak from your forefinger or index finger.


 2) To tilak yourself use center finger.

Shok for Early Morning while Waking Up.

When you wake up from sleep firstly jaap (pronounce) the Mangal charan doing Namashkar, after Mangalcharan Jaap Kardarshan joining your hand togather as you can see your forehand and after kardarshan geting out from bed you are going to touch bhumata(Earth)  from your feet so you say sorry from Bhumivandan .

Some Rules while Taking Food.

1) First salute food which satisfy your hunger.

2) Don't slander food.

3) Take bath before taking food.

4) Don't talk while taking food; Be silent.

5) While taking food with more people don't leave yourself until other people complete their meal.

6) Put out your shoes while eating food.

7) Don't take food in broken dishes.

8) Don't take food on your hand or cloth.

Why We Do Only A Half Revolution Around lord Shankara's Pindi OR Shivaling?

When we do pooja of  Shivaling, Gans (Followers) of Lord Shiva i.e. Rudragan or Pitrugan etc. are sit their to the mouth of shivaling for prashad.
If we do a full one revolution to Shivaling it will also for the Gans so that we have to do only a half revolution to Shivaling.
